So I haven't posted in roughly two months. This being out of working pretty much 6 days a week and due to complete laziness. But here I am, writing again!
Two weeks ago I got onto a 8 hour bus trip to Canberra to see my family and as many friends as i could, and as it turns out 10 days is not enough time to see everyone that I would have liked to. So first off I would like to properly apologize to all of the people who I could not see due to literally not having a single day to spare. Seeing a bunch of people over such a short period of time is 1) very difficult to do and 2) makes me very anxious. I am quite introverted and seeing a lot of people or being in large groups makes me very anxious. I would also like to say that not seeing you this time does not mean that I don't want to be your friend anymore or that you are not important to me (cause you most likely are if we are friends) it just means that I didn't have the time. Coming from such a big family means that I have to/would like to spend as much time with my family as I can when I can, which is what i did this time. I am sorry, and I will try my best to catch up with you at a later date. xxxx
Moving right along. My trip home was fantastic. I got to spend a lot of time with my family as well as getting to catch up with a few friends here and there which was lovely. I caught up with old friends, met new ones and got to see how much I have changed and they have too. Highlights of the trip would be staying over at my best friends house playing Diablo 3 with her brothers and my new friend while she made food with her mum for us to eat and having a cute mother daughter day with my mum where we got to catch up over lunch and shop. Seeing everyone again made me realize how much i miss them and home, but I know that Melbourne is where i am supposed to be at this point in time and I am happy to be back in the big city now.
My four (nearly five) year old sister is growing up so fast and has started preschool this year. She has started writing her name and takes pride in being able to count out loud to thirty with no issue, as well as write the numbers 1-15 (even though she struggles a little with the numbers 5,7 and 9). Coming home and seeing how much she has grown up without me there the last five-six months was shocking. You don't notice it as much when you spend a lot of time around a child just how much they can change in such a short period of time. My nine (soon to be ten) year old sister is also growing up so fast and I can tell just how hard she has been working on improving her handwriting and reading. I am very proud of her in how much improving she has done and will continue to do. I look forward to playing Pokemon with her on the weekends (when we can) as she has a huge love for Pokemon and can name pretty much all of them off by heart. My fifteen year old sister is also impressing me so much. She recently got her acceptance letter into the college of her choice (WOOH! CONGRATS KT!!) and is doing so well at school i am honestly jealous of her. Even though she stresses out massively over her assignments and what not she does amazing at them almost every time and I honestly am so proud of her. Then there's my Mum who is currently completing her masters. Mum, you are an inspiration to me and all of us kids. All that you have done for us over the years has been such a blessing and in fact there are not even words to describe how thankful I am to have you as my Mum. Also if you do end up reading this Mum, I am so proud of you and all your school work that you have and will achieve. I have honestly missed you all so much, and I am so thankful for the last week and a half we got to spend together, watching films, shopping and catching up. I couldn't and wouldn't ask for a better family. xxx
Also lately I had been experiencing some difficulty getting back into reading. I found that i would start a book, get lazy and stop reading. However since coming back from Canberra on Sunday I have completed two books (It's About Love by Steve Camden and Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertelli both must read and highly recommended) and have now started a third one (Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta) I have always enjoyed reading and I definitely am glad that i have my groove back. (BEWARE OF THE GROOVE) I hope to finish the ever growing book pile by my bed (there's about 8 books in the stack at the moment) by then end of next month. I shall keep you updated on various social media on how I am going with that.
If you ever have any suggestions on what i should blog about or even if you have a comment about my blog feel free to contact me or just leave a nice comment telling me what you think down the bottom here.
I shall update soon! (Really I will this time..)
